Kenneth Lee Strong

Entered this world on Tuesday, September 8, 1964, at Stanford Hospital; born the fifth and final child to Lucille and Sylvester Strong, a closing note in a song already rich with life. 

From an early age, Ken carried both brilliance and presence. At Kavanaugh Elementary, he was recognized as Gifted and Talented, a reflection of a mind that moved with curiosity and depth. His journey continued through Jordan Junior High and Palo Alto High School, leading him to Foothill College and onward to his work with Hewlett-Packard in Santa Clara. 

His spiritual roots were planted early at Mount Olive, where he 

gave his life to the Lord and was baptized as a young boy. He served faithfully as an usher, sat in Sunday School, and learned the language of faith. Years later, in a sacred return, he stood once more in that same church this time to share his testimony, his voice carrying the weight of lived experience and grace. 

Ken's spirit moved freely through the world of sports on the fields, on the courts, and in the stands. He played with heart in little league baseball, Pop Warner football, and basketball, always wearing his favorite number, 3. 

A devoted San Francisco 49ers fan, he carried the same spirited energy as his father quick to place a bet, slower to settle the score, always with a smile not far behind. 

In his later years, Ken embraced a life of independence, opening his home as a gathering place filled with laughter, stories, and connection. 

He found joy in the ritual of barbeque smoke rising into the air, in the shine of a well-crafted car, in checking on his mother, and in the rhythm of a good debate. 

Yet above all earthly joys, his heart rested most fully in his daughter, Ashley his greatest love, his living legacy. Ken was called many things in this life son, brother, uncle, 

friend, and sometimes "SLY." 

To his mother, he remained forever her baby. And now, beyond all names given on earth, he is known simply as God's child held, restored, and at peace in the hands of the Lord. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Lucille Strong; his daughter, Ashley Strong his sisters, Sharon Fulcher (Derrick) and Cammie Harris (William); his beloved nieces Shoshana, Kalona, Juran, Shuran, Sophia, Retha, and Maya; his nephew, Dwan II; and a wide circle of great- nieces, great-nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones whose lives were touched by his presence. 

He now rejoins those who went before him his father, Sylvester Strong, and his brothers, J.C. Strong and Dwan Strong resting in eternal peace, where love continues without end.
