James Walker, Born in San Francisco, California, passed away on May 16, 2026 at the age of 79
He was a citizen of the Bay Area as a whole and never strayed far from his stomping grounds in the Peninsula where he grew up. A stoic man by nature, those who knew him recognized his steady presence, practical wisdom, and keen wit.
In retirement James enjoyed following the financial markets with curiosity and discipline. He had a lifelong obsession for classic cars, cultivated a keen interest in landscaping and became quite the green thumb.
James was preceded in death by his parents, RC and Ruby Walker; his sister, Frances, and his brothers, Buddy, Marvin, and Khalil. Though he experienced the loss of many loved ones, he carried it with the resilience and determination that characterized him so well.
He is survived by his brother, Jerome; his ex-wife, Janet; their children; Lynette and James, and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, as well as numerous lifelong friends.
James is deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the stories shared by family and friends, and in the lasting impact he made on their lives. Though he was a man of few words, his strength, loyalty, and quiet presence spoke volumes to those who knew and loved him.
